JK Public School Panjtirthi celebrates Janmashtami

JAMMU: Janmashtami is celebrated as the birthday of Lord Krishna, one of the most powerful and famous reincarnations of Lord Vishnu.
Krishna Janmashtami was celebrated with great pomp and festivity at JK Public School (JKPS) Panjtirthi.
Dressed as Radha and Krishna, the Jakiians added a traditional touch to the entire celebrations while dancing to the beats of Janmashtami songs and filling the air with joy and festive spirit.
The splendid and colourful performance by the Students depicting the birth of Lord Krishna with a message of victory of good over evil was worth watching.
To the delight of the audience, the children performed a mesmerising dance to the tune of popular Krishna bhajans. The rhythmic movements and colourful costumes left everyone spellbound.
Suman Jamwal, the teacher incharge addressed the audience and said “Every moment of life is worth a Celebration. The more you praise and celebrate life, the more there is in life to celebrate.”
The Jhanki of Krishna with the peacock wing at the top made hearts of the audience beat with joy and ecstasy.
Images of Krishna’s infancy were placed in a cradle. A small skit, signifying Janmashtami’s message of encouraging good deeds and discouraging bad deeds, was shown to kids.
It was a beautiful presentation with joyous melody and twirling dancers.
The Principal of JKPS Panjtirthi Suman Banbah wished Happy Janamashtami to one and all. She highlighted the significance of this blissful occasion and emphasized on the relevance of Lord Krishna’s teachings. She also advised students to spread love and live in the moment wholeheartedly.
The Principal asked few questions to Jakiians regarding the celebration and the winners were rewarded with cash prizes.
