JAMMU: Gurupurab was celebrated with great ardency at JK Public School Panjtirthi to mark Prakash Utsav of Guru Nanak Dev Ji.
Suman Bala, the Incharge of the Celebration, spoke on the life history, teachings of Guru Nanak Dev Ji and lauded the bravery and valour of Khalsa Panth.
The celebration aimed to spread the teachings of peace, equality, and compassion preached by Guru Nanak Dev Ji.
The program began with the recitation of the Mool Mantra followed by a soulful Shabad Kirtan performed by the jakiians. Students presented speeches, poems, and skits depicting the life and teachings of Guru Nanak Dev Ji. The atmosphere was filled with devotion as everyone joined in singing hymns and remembering the values of truth, humility, and service to humanity.
The principal of JKPS Panjtirthi Suman Banbah wished belated happy Gurupurab to one and all. She advised the students to follow principles of the holy Guru and cultivate values of humanity.”
The Principal asked few questions to children regarding the celebration and those who answered correctly were awarded.
