JK Public School Panjtirthi celebrates Energy Conservation Day

JAMMU: Dwelling on the significance of energy conservation and its relevance in context with growing energy requirement in present day world, the students of JK Public School Panjtirthi on Thursday celebrated National Energy Conservation Day here at school premises with exemplary zeal and astounding preparation.
Raising the slogan, ‘Save energy today for a better tomorrow’, the JaKiians effectively showcased their concern towards burning issues affecting today’s fast changing world. They explained the grandeur of the day and pinpointed every single aspect which could be looked into for conserving energy. Giving utmost importance to the issue, the students compared energy conservation measures as prime constituent of nation building and true reflection of patriotism.
Principal Suman Banbah remarked that the real wealth of the nation is its air, water, soil, forests, minerals, rivers, lakes, oceans, scenic beauty, wildlife and biodiversity. “We all should do our bit to conserve the wealth of the nation”, she asserted.
She motivated the JaKiians to use energy judiciously by turning off lights and electrical appliances before leaving the rooms, making maximum use of sunlight and using LED and energy efficient bulbs besides rational use of air conditioners and heaters.
