The session was designed to instill a deep sense of national pride among students and motivate them to pursue a life of honour in the armed forces.
Captain Rao captivated the students of Grades 11 and 12 with a powerful narrative of Operation Sindoor – a decisive military operation that demonstrated India’s unflinching response to the Pahalgam terror attack. With precision and passion, he unfolded the strategic brilliance and indomitable courage of the Indian Army, offering the students a glimpse into the grit and heroism that define our defence forces.
Beyond recounting battlefield exploits, Captain Rao emphasized the core values that shape every soldier – discipline, integrity, patriotism, and selfless service. He also shed light on the rapid modernization of the Indian Armed Forces, elaborating on cutting-edge technologies and advanced warfare capabilities that are redefining the contours of India’s military prowess.
A special focus was laid on sensitizing students about the responsible use of social media, particularly in safeguarding national interests. Furthermore, Captain Rao provided invaluable guidance on career pathways into the armed forces, elaborating on the SSB (Services Selection Board) procedure, the CDS (Combined Defence Services) examination, and the NDA (National Defence Academy) entry points – empowering aspiring candidates with clarity and direction.
The session also revisited India’s major counter-terror operations including the Parliament attack, 26/11 Mumbai strikes, Pulwama, and the recent Pahalgam incident, reinforcing India’s zero-tolerance stance against terrorism. In a heartening gesture towards inclusivity, Captain Rao celebrated the growing role of women in uniform, encouraging young girls to seize the opportunity to serve the nation with equal pride and valour.
