JK Public School Kunjwani orchestrates its Annual Day

JAMMU: The journey started way back in 1992 as JK Public School, Kunjwani. We have cruised through a long journey and grown to become pioneers in the field of education. Our commitment has been to ensure the overall holistic development of our students in addition to our efforts to impart the best education and provide equal importance to extracurricular activities.
Celebrating its glorious 23 years, JK Public School, Kunjwani, celebrated the most awaited annual happening ‘Annual Day’ for Senior Wing with great fanfare on the second day. The theme for the celebrations was ‘Rishtey’ – a bond of love and relationships and honouring ‘Girl Child’.
Sham Lal Sharma, former Minister of J and K, was the Chief Guest for the event. Raj Daluja, Chairman JK Educational Society, Davinder Daluja, Patron JK Educational Society, Mrs and Mr Sidharth Daluja, Gautam Daluja and Brig. Sukhdev Singh, Director, JK Educational Society graced the occasion with their gracious presence.
Lighting of the lamp marked the inauguration of the extravaganza. The programme was ushered in by a welcome dance.
The Principal, S.K Singh in his address presented the school report tracing the progress, major events and achievements of the school. The students presented a colourful spray of their talents by dancing to the tunes of various songs. The students resplendent in their colourful attires displayed skills and enthralled everyone. The beautiful play based on the theme had a message for the fast changing society. The JKiians pledged to not only recognise their parents’ efforts but also thank them, for they have sacrificed their today for our tomorrow. The dance drama celebrated the birth of a ‘Girl Child’ with a touching message that her birth should be celebrated not criticised. All the participants performed to best of their potential and presented a meaningful demonstration of the theme.
The achievers were felicitated for their academic and sports excellence by the Chief Guest and the dignitaries present. The academic achievers were awarded for their efforts with laptops and scholarships.
The Chief Guest in his speech praised the efforts of the school in instilling the right morals and value education among the students. He also advised the parents to give their children the right atmosphere to grow and develop.
Raj Daluja, Chairman JK Educational Society felicitated the Chief Guest with a memento. Vote of thanks was presented by Vice Principal, Rajesh Gandral.
Wing wise celebration of the programme was proved to be a fruitful platform for the maximum number of students to participate. The occasion saw its glorious end with School Song, followed by National Anthem.
