JAMMU: To bring forth effective leadership skills in the students, a workshop on ‘Emotional Intelligence’ was organised by JK Public School, Kunjwani on Friday.
The Chief Guest of the event was Shashi Chaudhary, Director JK Educational Society. Other dignitaries present on the occasion were Rajesh Rathore Principal JK Public School Kunjwani, Roopinder Kour Vice Principal JKPS Kunjwani.
Randeep Wazir, Principal IDPS Jammu and Pooja Gupta, Principal Cybernetics School Jammu graced the occasion during the closing ceremony of the event.
Principal JKPS Kunjwani, Rajesh Rathore formally welcomed the honoured guests and students.
“The objective of the workshop was to optimize the use of the present life skills, aiming to achieve the optimum output of the students and preparing them for uncharted waters. The programme targeted to maximize the students’ abilities of coping with stress & emotion from Grades IX to XI”.
Students from 5 HOL member schools in Jammu region, namely, JK Public School Kunjwani, APS, BD BARI, IDPS Jammu, Cybernetics School Jammu and KV Miran Sahib participated in the workshop.
Sheeva Arora, a Soft Skills and Personality Development Trainer was the resource person. Emotional Intelligence allows us to respond instead of react.
She made them aware about different emotions by emotion vocabulary exercise. She emphasized to identify and analyse the source of various emotions and how they can be effectively managed. She even made them do enactment pin pointing a trigger that is affecting their personal or professional lives. With this, students shared their personal experiences also. She shared her experiences and motivated Young Minds how to be a successful person in their lives and have clear visions. Students actively participated in the Workshop and got the best out of it. Overall, it was an engaging and innovative session.
Vote of thanks was presented by Roopinder Kour, Vice Principal JK Public School, Kunjwani. All Participants were given with E- Certificates.
