JAMMU: J.K. Public School, Kunjwani, commemorated Mother’s Day with grandeur and heart-warming celebrations, inviting mothers of class VI students as special guests to grace the occasion.
The event, hosted by the talented JKiians Ridhaan, Vedanshi, Aarohi and Divdesh; exuded enthusiasm and passion throughout. It commenced with lamp lighting and a warm welcome address, followed by a soulful rendition of the song “Luka Chhupi Bahut Huyi” by the school choir, embracing the essence of the special day.
The program featured a diverse range of performances, including poetry recitals, puppet show by Arya, and heartfelt talks on motherhood by both students and teachers. A heartwarming poem, presented by Manjri and captivating questionnaire session by Harneet Kour, further strengthened the bond between mothers and daughters, while an emotional enactment of mother-daughter relationships by Shalu and her daughter left the audience moved. Also, a proud mother, Shweta recited a poem for her daughter, thus, reflecting pure bond.
The stage came alive with a mesmerizing dance performance by the talented students of class 5, captivating everyone present. Mothers, in turn, showcased their talents with special performances of dance, poetry and speeches, thus, adding warmth and depth to the celebration.
To foster stronger bonds, the school arranged a delightful coffee session for mothers and daughters, encouraging them to cherish and nurture their relationship. Rajesh Rathore, Principal JKPS Kunjwani, elevated the event with such a heartwarming speech. He appreciated all the Moms present on the occasion for causing joyful happenings into the hearts of their children and standing by their sides, like the Rock of Gibralter, through every thick and thin. He inspired children also to keep their Mom happy always, as blessings from Mom fetches more fortune to an individual than prayers.
Inderjeet Kaur, School Coordinator, applauded the students for their outstanding contributions and extended heartfelt wishes to all mothers, wishing them a very Happy Mother’s Day.
