JK Public School celebrates Eid -ul-Fitr with zest, fanfare

‘Celebrations of Festivals keep us culturally connected’

JAMMU: Eid-ul-Fitr was celebrated at JK Public School (JKPS) Panjtirthi with lot of zest and fanfare.
Dimple Bhatt and Mehnaz, the Incharges explained the audience, “Eid-ul-Fitr, also known as the Festival of Breaking the Fast, is a religious festival celebrated by Muslims worldwide that marks the end of Ramadan, the Islamic holy month of fasting. It is a joyous occasion and is typically marked by prayers, family gatherings, and festive meals.”
A skit on the concept of “Unity in Diversity” was exhibited by Jakiians.
Jakiians danced merrily to celebrate the festival of prayers, joy, brotherhood and charity. Jakiians also performed Qawwali and Naat (holy hymn) .
Jakiians embraced each other, it was a delight to watch them wishing ‘Eid Mubarak’ .
The Principal of JKPS Panjtirthi, Suman Banbah expressed, “India is a country that is home to different religions, cultures, traditions, ethnicities, and practices.”
She further wished, “May this Eid bring peace and harmony to all humanity. Wishing you a Happy Eid-Ul-Fitr.”
A quiz related to the festival was conducted by the quiz Master-the Principal herself. Winners were also rewarded.
