J&K Police to meet BSF Kashmir in Hockey final

JAMMU: Jammu and Kashmir Police shall be playing against (Border Security Force (BSF) Kashmir in the title clash of the State Hockey Championship, organised by the Hockey J and K at K K Hakku Stadium, here on 29th March.
Earlier, in the semifinals, played on Monday, BSF Jammu fought well against the J and K Police throughout. It was only in the penalty strokes that BSF men could not hold their nerves and lost in the high scoring and entertaining game 8-7. In the stipulated time the match ended in a 4-4 draw.
In other semifinal, BSF Kashmir trounced the experienced side of Jammu Rural by two goals to nil to qualify for the final.
Today’s semifinals were officiated by the technical panel comprising Vijay Vaid, Satvir Singh, Iqbal Singh, Karanjit Singh, J.S Reen and M.S Reen.
Meanwhile, as per the organisers, the final has been scheduled for 29th March at 2:00 PM.
