JAMMU: Winning their respective matches, J and K Police and BSF Kashmir on Saturday qualified for the quarterfinals of the ongoing State Hockey Championship being organised by Hockey J and K and sponsored by the J and K State Sports Council, at K K Hakku Stadium, here.
Now, in the last eight stages matches, scheduled for tomorrow, BSF Kashmir shall take on district Rajouri at 1:00 PM and J and K Police shall meet district Samba at 3:00 PM.
Earlier, in the preliminary round, held on Saturday, BSF Kashmir defeated Jammu West 5-0 while J and K Police trounced district Baramulla 4-0. In other scheduled match, Jammu Rural outplayed Jammu Cantonment 6-3.
Today’s matches were officiated by the technical panel comprising M.S Reen, Satvir Singh, Iqbal Singh, Karanjeet Singh, M.S Sanapati, Matinder Pal Singh, Jagjeet Singh Reen and Sohail Azim.
