JAMMU: Saying that the people of Jammu and Kashmir want to get rid of the dynastic rule, BJP National President Amit Shah on Wednesday observed that rule by few families has only perpetuated corruption, nepotism and mal-administration.
Reviewing the party’s poll preparedness here, Amit Shah said the people of Jammu and Kashmir are with Narendra Modi’s development plank and want to get rid of the dynastic parties’ rule which have only promoted dynasties and few cronies.
“People want to have public friendly and companionate governance, which only BJP is capable of”, he said and added that Mission 44+ is within the reach and required committed hard work.
Amit Shah expressed satisfaction over the briefing by various committees and stressed for more persistent efforts in this direction.
He also reviewed the work done by various party functionaries entrusted with individual duties at a meeting of election management committee, campaign Srinagar, Anantnag and Shopian will go to polls. The electorate in two seats in Samba district of Jammu region will also vote in the fourth phase.
The constituencies for which the notification was issued today include all the eight in Srinagar – Hazratbal, Zadibal, Idgah, Khanyar, Habbakadal, Amirakadal, Sonawar and Batamaloo, six in Anantnag – Anantnag, Doru, Kokernag, Shangus, Bijbehara and Pahalgam – and two in Shopian – Wachi and Shopian – in Kashmir Valley and Samba and Vijaypur in Jammu division.
The last date for filing nominations is November 26, while the scrutiny of nomination papers would be held on November 27.
The last date for withdrawal of nomination is on November 29.(PTI)
