J&K Peace T20 Championship gets underway

JAMMU: Jammu Sunrisers, Jammu Kings and Jammu Tigers won their league matches in the ongoing J and K Peace T20 Championship is being organized by Vishal Cricket Club Jammu and District Sports Council Jammu in collaboration with Sehwag Academy at Parade Ground and Sehwag Academy Heritage School, here on Sunday. In Group-A match at Parade Ground, Jammu Kings defeated Jammu Tigers by three wickets. Batting first, Jammu Tigers, scored 98/8 in 20 overs. Ayush Andotra (30 ) and Abay Tondon (22) were the main scorers. Abay and Kanav picked two wickets each while Uttkarsh and Hanjla shared one. Jammu Kings, in reply, achieved the target in the second last ball of the game for the loss of seven wickets. Surya (24), Usmaan (23) and Huzaifa (14) were the main scorers.
For Jammu Tigers, Abay Tondon took two wickets, Abay Sharma, Tushar and Umar shared one each. Surya was adjudged Man of the Match.
In another match, Jammu Tigers defeated Jammu Superstars in last ball of the match by four wickets.
Batting first, Jammu Superstars, was bowled out on 100 runs in 20 overs. Swastic Sharma (34) and Rohan Gill (12) were the main scorers. For Jammu Tigers, Abay Tondon picked six wickets and Moulik Jain took three wickets.
In reply, Jammu Tigers, achieved the target in last ball of the game with the help of Ayush (27), Aditya (25) and Abay Tondon (15) runs. For Jammu Superstars, Praful grabbed three wickets and Smarpit took two. Abay Tondon was declared as Man of the Match. In Group-B match at Sehwag Cricket Academy, Jammu Sunrisers defeated Jammu Superstars by 66 runs. Batting first, Jammu Sunrisers, scored 163 runs for loss of five wickets in 20 overs. Shehzad and Daksh brilliant innings of 77 and 52 runs respectively while Kartik added 13 runs to the total. Praful and Gurdaat took one wicket each.
Jammu Superstars, in reply, could not achieve the target and made 97 runs in 20 overs for the loss of eight wickets with Ragav Thakur (31), Swastik Sharma (15) , Ritvik (13 ) were the main scorers. Anirudh, Yuvraj Singh and Krishna shared two wickets each. Shahzad was named the Man of the Match.
