SAMBA: J and K Grameen Bank (JKGB) under the chairmanship of R.K Chhibber in collaboration with NABARD on Wednesday organised awareness programme on the Pradhan Mantri’s Social Security Schemes at Pangdour, district Samba. General Manager, JKGB, Janak Raj Angural, who was the Chief Guest, spoke about various bank schemes and highlighted that Joint Liability Group approach is an effective credit delivery methodology for banks to reach clients like small farmers, marginal farmers, tenant farmers, share croppers, oral lessees and also micro entrepreneurs and therefore an important tool for poverty alleviation and social cohesion. He also distributed credit worth Rs 70 lakh to beneficiaries in shape of KCC, JLGs, Dairy etc.
DDM NABARD Samba, Surinder Singh spoke about various NABARD’s Rural Development Schemes, Social Security Schemes etc.
V.K Sharma, Senior Manager, MF and FI Department, JKGB, informed the participants regarding the benefits of newly launched schemes by Central Government. He advised the people to avail this benefit through nearest Grameen Bank Branch.
Area Manager Kathua Samba, K.L Sharma and Senior Manager LIC Samba, Bhushan Sharma spoke about the various Bank/NABARD and security schemes.
