JAMMU: JK Educational Society celebrated Teachers’ Day at Blue Moon Banquet Hall on Monday. The day was celebrated to mark the birth anniversary of great educationist and 2nd President of India, Dr. Saravapalli Radhakrishnan. All Educational institutions under the aegis of JK Educational Society participated in the programme.
The programme began with welcome speech by the Director Shashi Chaudhary, who welcomed everyone and enumerated the qualities of good teachers and lauded the efforts of all teachers.
She also quoted APJ Kalam by saying, “Teaching is a very noble profession that shapes the character, caliber, and future of an individual”.
Suman Bamba, Principal JK Public School Panjtirthi also shared a word of acknowledgement and appraisal.
Rajesh Rathore, Principal JK Public School, Kunjwani expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the Management for their visionary leadership, commitment and dedication, which made JKES reach the level of eminence.
The function was presided over by the Chairman JK Educational Society Raj Daluja, Patron JK Educational Society Devinder Daluja, Neelam Daluja, Brig. Sukhdev Singh and Sukhdev Singh, Principal JK Public School Panjtirthi Suman Banbah, Principal JK Public School Kunjwani, Rajesh Rathore, Vice Principal Roopinder Kour, Academic Coordinator Parvinder Kour, School Coordinator Inderjeet Kour, and Toddlers’ World Coordinator Shivangani Pandotra.
There were Song performances by Neelam Bharadwaj, Rashmi Arora, Upendra, Eliza, Pooja Jamwal, Gourav, Raksha Thakur, Amit, a duet by Arti Tikoo and Rajan Singh as well as a Medley of songs by Rashmi Arora, Kamal Sharma, Ruchi Sharma and Manju Gupta. They enthralled the audience with their melodious voices.
Thereafter a foot tapping group dances were performed by teachers. A round of games (Luck by Chance) was a surprise for the faculty members.
A Ramp walk by the staff members was the highlight of the entire function. Funny Talks by Munish Gupta and Rishiv Prabhakar stole the show.
A special dance performance by Smile and Pratiksha left the audience awestruck. Principal JKPS Kunjwani Rajesh Rathore also sang a song on the occasion and enthralled everyone in the Hall. Bhangra and Giddha by JKPS teachers was also worth seeing which received a standing ovation.
Teacher were awarded in various categories. Chairman JK Educational Society Raj Daluja, Patron Devinder Daluja, Neelam Daluja, Director Shashi Chaudhary felicitated Principal JKPS Kunjwani Rajesh Rathore, Principal JKPS Panjtirthi Suman Banbah, Vice Principal Roopinder Kour, wing wise Cordinators, Office bearers and staff members.
Vote of Thanks was presented by the Vice Principal Roopinder Kour. The day concluded with a sumptuous lunch.
