J&K doctor appointed Physio for Challengers Trophy

JAMMU: National Cricket Academy (NCA) of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has appointed Dr Karan Nayyar of Jammu and Kashmir as Physio for Under-19 Challengers Trophy starting tomorrow at Bilaspur Himachal Pradesh. Karan’s appointment was made by chairman of NCA Bangalore, Niranjan R Shah and a communiqué in this regard was issued by Assistant General Manager Cricket Operations of the Academy, K.V.P Rao. A young Physiotherapist from Jammu, Karan was recently included in the penal of qualified doctors after he underwent a specialised course conducted by the NCA Bangalore. In the Challenger Trophy, the BCCI has divided teams in three groups of India Red, India Blue and India Green. So, Dr Karan has been made Physio of India Red. Important to mention here that Under-19 Challengers Trophy has been introduced for the first time on the pattern of Challengers Trophy in senior group. Meanwhile, Dr Karan has expressed his thanks to Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association (JKCA) for the cooperation and support.
