JAMMU: BJP President Jammu and Kashmir Ravinder Raina on Thursday sought criminal proceedings against Shubam Singh, resident of Bhagwa, district Doda, presently residing at Panjtirthi Jammu, for an act of misrepresentation and falsehood.
In his letter to SSP Jammu, Raina said that Shubam Singh came to his office with representation from the parents of a Police SPO, Daljeet Singh whom he claimed as his cousin brother and requested to help in his transfer from Jammu to Kishtwar on humanitarian grounds. As per the statement of Shubam Singh the parents of the SPO are bed ridden and they urgently need medical treatment, he being their only son to take care of them.
Accordingly Raina made a request to the senior officers to look into the matter on humanitarian grounds. Later he came to know that it was a concocted story and misrepresentation made by Shubam Singh with a malafied intention to harass the said SPO as he is nowhere in any kind of family relationship with him.
BJP J&K President requested the SSP to initiate criminal proceedings against Shubam Singh under law.
