J&K Bank holds Digi Dhan awareness camp in Jammu University

SRINAGAR: J&K Bank on Wednesday organised a Digi Dhan and cashless business awareness camp in Jammu University with the aim to promote awareness about the digital ways of doing transactions which essentially involves cashless transactions.
The arrangements were made by the bank for on spot opening of accounts, issuance of debit cards, credit cards, registration for mobile and e banking services besides providing orientation and training for using the digital channels for making day to day purchases.
Arvind Gupta, Vice President and Zonal Head Jammu (Central) said, “We are motivating people to understand and use cashless transactions. Generally people think you can make only high value transactions without cash but what we are trying to do is tell them that you can be cashless and buy everyday necessities.”
The awareness camp was held in a run up to the Digi Dhan Mela being organised in the Jammu city on 17th January. The participants were urged upon to act as agent of change in the society by making others aware about the use of digital channels for making day to day purchases.
The camp was conducted by the team of Business Unit New University Campus lead by Suda-rshan Kumar Business Unit Head.
