J&K Bank bags awards at RSETI-Diwas in Delhi

SRINAGAR: J&K Bank’s Rural Self Employment Training Institute (RSETI) Bandipora bagged an award for good performance during the Fourth RSETI Diwas at Vigyan Bhawan New Delhi wherein RSETIs across the country participated. As sponsoring bank of 12 RSETIs in the State, J&K Bank also was awarded in category ‘C’, where there are 10-20 RSETIs.
To recognize the outstanding performance of RSETIs in various states, the event was organized by Ministry of Rural Development (GoI).
Union Minister for Rural Development, Panchayati Raj, Drinking Water and Sanitation Narendra Singh Tomar chaired the function attended by the Minister of State for Finance Dr. Santosh Kumar Gangwar, Minister of State for Rural Development, Ram Kirpal Yadav besides senior officer of the banks, representatives of various RSETIs across the country.
On behalf of the Bank, Executive President Vagish Chander Sharma along with Vice President Rakesh Gandotra received the awards.
Notably, these RSETIs are playing a tremendous role in imparting various skills to the educated youth of the State in various districts in order to increase their employability. Also these institutions of active learning are scripting small success stories by churning out entrepreneurs in villages and towns across the State.
