J&K artists participate in International Painters’ Camp

JAMMU: Three J and K State artists participated in an International Painters Camp conducted from 16th to 18th January at International Centre of Reorichs, Naggar, District Kullu.
The camp was organised by International Reorich Memorial Trust, Naggar (Kullu) to mark the event of New Year. The programme was inaugurated by Jyoty Rana, Sub Divisional Magistrate, Manali (HP). Ramesh Chander, the Curator of the Centre and other dignitaries were present on this occasion. The State artists who took part in it were senior and known artist Jang S. Verman and young artists namely Amrit Kaur and Anuradha. Speaking on this occasion, Ramesh Kumar gave the introduction of the workshop and importance of organising such camps in Kullu area. In her address, the Chief Guest said that efforts should be made to patronise and preserve art in the region.
Naveen Dhiman, President, Himachal Art Heritage and Prabhinder Lall, President, ArtFort India, Jang S. Verman and Russian Officer, Alexander also spoke on this occasion.
