JJSF seeks justice for minor maid, her siblings

JAMMU: Jammu Justice Secular Forum (JJSF)held a demonstration here at Exhibition Ground against police for its inaction in case pertaining to alleged atrocities on a minor girl maid namely Shilpa Kumari by Padma Manhas, mother of IPL Player and captain of J&K Ranjhi Cricket team.
Speaking to the media persons, Vikram Singh Chib, Provincial President JJSF disclosed that as per the complaint filed by the Shilpa, her two brothers and one sister were forcefully picked up by the accused in the year 2003 and were made to work against their wishes in houses of different persons.
“They were not allowed to study and were also deprived of salary. Shilpa was tortured, beaten and humiliated since she was kept forcefully by the accused in her house”, he alleged adding that her sister was recovered by the police and was handed over to the complainant’s elder brother on Sapurdnama. “However, no step has been taken by the police till now to recover the younger brother (Shivam Kumar) who was working at Delhi at Mithun Manhas’s house nor they have arrested the accused”, he alleged.
He warned the state Government and police department to immediately arrest the accused lady and all those who have made these minors to work as servants at their respective homes within a week failing which JJSF will be left with no other option but to take this fight for right to the colleges of the state.
Clinton Sharma, Provincial Vice-President, JJSF, Sagar, Sachin, Vikas, Lalit, Uday, Shubham, Atul, Amit, Ayush, Lovish and Upinder were also present.
