NEW DELHI: MoS PMO, Dr Jitendra Singh met series of public delegations from different parts of the country at the BJP National Headquarters office at 11 Ashoka Road here and responded to their representations and grievances. As a part of the party’s “Sahyog” programme, Dr Jitendra Singh, assisted by senior BJP office bearers, including national spokesperson GVL Narasimha, Naveen Sinha and Manoj Goyal, spent a long time listening to the inputs and demands of people from all walks of life. He also made notings on the representations submitted to him and referred some of the cases to the concerned Ministries. Speaking to media persons on the occasion, Dr Jitendra Singh said, it is not only a pleasant home – coming for him whenever he sits at the BJP office, but it is, at the same time, also a reiteration of the commitment to the “Sangathan” / Organization and the “Karyakarta”. He usually makes it a point to sit at the BJP office at least once in a month to meet the public delegations and it also helps to relate the party’s agenda and priorities with the common people, he said BJP is a cadre-based Party, said Dr Jitendra Singh, and drives its inspiration from Pt. Deen Dayal Upadhyaya’s concept of “Antyoday” which means reaching out to the last man in the last queue. An exercise like this of holding public interaction at the party office also enables a common citizen to gain direct access to the government and political functionaries whom he may otherwise find difficult to reach in a secretariat or a ministerial office, he said.
