JAMMU: A group of 13 skaters of Roller Athlete Skating Club, Jindrah displayed an exemplary act by donating blood at Government Medical College (GMC), Jammu on Saturday. The camp was organised under the supervision of Dr. Vijay sawhney, HoD, Blood and Transfusion Department, GMC Jammu.
Dr. Sawhney appreciated the noble cause of skaters and said that it is the first time that a group of sportspersons has come forward for donating blood voluntary and it is a great example for others to follow.
The General Secretary of the Roller Athlete Skating Club, Venus Sethi assured that this process of donating blood would be a regular event at least once a year and club would also motivate other sportspersons as well as general masses to donate blood as it is a great service to the humanity.
The skaters who donated blood were Ankush Kohli, Narinder Malhotra, Dr. Rajbrinder Singh, Arya Vir Singh Jamwal, Ramneesh Sharma, Venus Sethi, Sunil Pargal, Avinash Dogra, Achal Gupta, Prince Kumar, Jagdev Singh Chib, Rajesh Gupta and Parshant Singh Jamwal.
