JIAR adopts villages for health care through yoga

JAMMU: Jammu Institute of Ayurveda and Research (JIAR), Nardni has adopted the adjoining villages of the institution i.e. Bajwan, Nardni, Thather, Kot Bhalwal etc. for promotion of yoga for health care and stress free life.

This was informed by Chairman Dr Roop Lal Sharma in the press conference, held here on Saturday.

“The management, students and internees of the institution under the guidance of the yoga experts will be deputed to these villages who will go door-to-door to popularise yoga among residents,” he said. Besides this, he said, public will also be inspired to grow medicinal plants like Amla, Neem, Tulsi, Giloy etc. to improve the hygienic conditions of polluted air.
