RAJOURI: Fifth Traditional Jhanki of Bhairon Baba was taken out on Sunday in Rajouri Town during celebration of seven days long Holi Festival. Youths and children participated with zeal and zest. People believe that a pat by the tong from Bhairon Baba brings fortune.
The rally which was taken out from Bhairon Nath Mandir Mohalla Nabin after special Pooja, passed through Tehsil area, main market and finally culminated at Bhairon Mandir near Sanatan Dharam Sabha Rajouri. Bhairav Committee President, Vishal Dutta thanked Rajouri Police for making adequate arrangements. He said the tradition of organising Bhairon Jhanki is more than hundred years old. Bhairon Committee members included Nishu Gupta , R. Sharma , Sumeet Sharma (Kaka ) , Kalu Sharma , Rahul Suri, Media Secretary Amit Sharma , Media Secretary Emroz Suri and Chairman Raju Dutta.
