JDA demolishes 5 illegal structures; stops 2 constructions

JAMMU: As part of continuous anti-encroachment drive against the encroachers/violators enforcement wing of JDA has intensified the anti-encroachment drive.
In this connection four Pacca structures raised on JDA Land at village Keran were demolished and one Pacca structure at Janipura Housing Colony and two un-authorised construction were stopped at Udhaywala adjoining Shiva Pitambara Bagala Asharam.
As per the directions of Vice Chairman, JDA Mubarak Singh a team headed by Narinder Singh Khilafarzi Officer and comprising of Sunil Nanda, Rajinder Singh Choudhary, Parshotam Kumar and Buti Singh Khilafarzi Inspectors and JDA Patwari Sanjeev Kumar along with field staff conducted a day long anti-encroachment drive. Police Chowki Chinor provided police assistance and co-operation P.L Shan In charge accompanied the demolition squad.
Some persons under the pretext of some fake documents had raised Pacca structures on JDA land at village Keran despite repeatedly warning to them to desist from raising any construction on JDA land and such these structures dismantled.
At Janipura plot No. 148 dwelling units was being encroached by the encroacher which was got vacated and construction raised was removed. At Udheywala two constructions being raised on JDA land were stopped as per the Nishan Dehi given by revenue wing of JDA. The said constructions building plans have been approved by the Jammu Municipal Corporation.
Jammu Development Authority has warned the people not to indulge in any type of sale and purchase of land at Udheywal adjoining Shiva Pitambara Bagala Asharam as well as village Keran without the NOC from JDA, otherwise action shall be initiated against them under law.
