JDA conducts drive againts encroachment

JAMMU: Jammu Develop-ment Authority (JDA) on Saturday conducted an anti-encroachment drive from Fourth Tawi Bridge to Belicharana area to take cognisance against the illegal encroachments and constructions over the JDA land.
A team of Enforcement Wing of JDA on the directions of the Vice Chairman, JDA, Mubarak Singh under the overall supervision of Director Land Management, Rishpal Singh comprising of Ashraf Parvaiz Tehsildar JDA Zone-B, Enforcement Wing, Enforcement Winder under the supervision of Chief Khilafwarzi Officer, Narinder Singh and field staff with the active assistance of In-Charge Police Post Belicharana stopped the unauthorised constrictions which are going over JDA land in Bashir Gujjar Basti and Doda Basti at Belicharana.
Accordingly, 14 cases of encroachment and illegal constructions have been registered at Police Post Belicharana. Jammu Devel-opment Authority appealed to the general public falling in JDA jurisdiction to desist from encroaching JDA land and raising illegal constructions failing which stern action will be taken against the encroachers and trespassers.
