JCWSBJ celebrates National Coop Week

JAMMU: The Jammu Cooperative Wholesale Ltd Super Bazaar Jammu hosted and celebrated today the 61st national cooperative week at its premises at its Head Office in City Chowk Jammu. In the function Secretary to Government, Cooperative Department Ramesh Kumar Koul was the chief guest and Registrar Cooperative Societies J and K. Basharat Saleem was the Guest of Honour.
Among others Anjana Tickoo Addl. Registrar Jammu, Trishla Kumari Joint Registrar Special, Tanvir Malik Joint Registrar Audit, Bharat Bhushan Managing Director J and K Cooperative Housing Cooperation, G.D Bakshi General Secretary J and K Cooperative union Ltd and the function of various cooperative Societies of Jammu was present.
The flag was hoisted by the Chief Guest while addressing the welcome speech; General Manager Super Bazaar Ram Kesh Sharma welcomed the guest and revealed that the Super Bazaar Jammu is continuing making profit for the last 4-5 years.
He disclosed various strategies and new innovation which are introduced to improve the working of Super Bazar Jammu such as video surveillance e- monitoring and online shopping.
While addressing the gathering the various speakers threw light on the values and the importance of cooperative movement and suggested various steps and majors to make the cooperative relevant and competitive. The relevance of cooperative was stressed and it was felt that there is more need of awareness. Among the general public in which the principal and values of cooperatives are need to be underlined.
Additional registrar suggested that the customer satisfaction should be the prime objective of the Super Bazaar Jammu.
The Registrar Cooperatives, Basharat Saleem while speaking said that those is always a scope for improvement and growth therefore as per the changing needs, new techniques, marketing strategies and publicity must be given to attract more customer to increase the business of the cooperative Super Bazaar. He said that the department is always ready to extend hand of help to the societies to make the same functional and revival.
The Chief Guest, R.K Koul stressed that values of Cooperatives must be inculcated to make the cooperative sector vide and visible. He said that through the celebration of this week, a new message should travel to the grass root level among the stake holders and everybody must pledge to work with zeal, dedication, innovation and with a sense of selfishlessness to make the cooperative sector to take a new price and complete with the private market.
The proceedings of the function were conducted by Udham Dass Sharma Deputy Registrar, Cooperative Societies Jammu.
