SAMBA: All India Jat Mahasabha J and K, felicitated Poonam Choudhary, daughter of Ch. Parkash Singh, Lecturer in Mathematics, who topped in B.Sc results declared recently by University of Jammu, at a function held here at Ghagwal, Samba District.
While speaking on the occasion, President Ch Manmohan Singh reminded the best achievements of their community students achieved in the past, appreciated the very hard work done by Poonam Choudhary who has made the whole Jat community proud being first Jat to have topped the university.
Singh stressed upon the community to educate their wards to help their selves and community to face the emerging future challenges. Knowledge being the power and power comes from education, so get the education at all cost, he said and appealed to the community to invest in their children’s education than investing on houses or structures.
He declared that a ceremonial function will be organized in near future to honour the community stars.
