JAMMU: All Jandial Sabha is the only legal and duly elected body which is managing the holy Devasthan of Baba Sahej Nath Ji including temple and there is no provision under its constitution for any other management committee or body.
This was stated by Chief Patron of the Sabha Justice (Retd) K.K Gupta in a meeting held here on Friday.
Gupta took a serious note of reported meeting of self styled Jai Baba Sahej Nath ji Temple Committee Gole Pulli Talab Tillo, in which President and Officer Bearers were elected.
In a statement, Gupta said that there is no provision in the constitution for separate management committee for the temple and those who have gathered together to form this committee have not only worked against the provisions of the constitution of the Sabha but also against the interest of the Biradari.
Claiming that Baba Sahej Nath ji Temple Committee is illegal and unconstitutional, the Sabha appealed to all members of the Jandial Biradari to refrain from associating them with this committee.
They said that the President and General Secretary of the Sabha are formally elected under the provisions of Sabha’s constitution having two years’ tenure. “The last election was held on March 2014 in which Rajeev Jandial was elected as President and Rakesh Jandial as General Secretary. The President as per the constitution nominated office bearers and members of the working committee. Chief Patron, Deputy Chief Patron, Chairman and Patrons were also appointed.
They warned of strict action against those who were trying to bring bad name to the Biradari.
Among others the meeting was attended by O.P Gupta Dy. Chief Patron, I.C Jandial Chairman, former member PSC, K.B Jandial, former IGP Ashok Gupta, Mohanlal Gupta all Patrons, Ramesh Jandial, Sr. Vice President, Rakesh Jandial and General Secretary, Dheeraj Jandial.
