JAMMU: Former Minister and senior Congress leader Raman Bhalla on Sunday assailed the BJP-PDP Government for utterly failing in deliverance, saying that both parties have lost confidence and mandate of the people of Jammu.
The 2014 excitement, expectations and display is terribly missing with disregard growing among people due to policy paralysis of the government which is struggling to put its acts together after plunging the State into unprecedented political and administrative crisis, said Bhalla while addressing gathering at Guru Tegh Bahadur Nagar, Narwal Bypass in Gandhi Nagar Assembly Constituency.
The programme was organised by Jasbir Singh Bitty who joined Congress Party leaving PDP along with his supporters Ajab Singh, Simranjeet Singh Sodi, Gurupurab Singh Sodi and others.
Jasbir Singh speaking on the occasion said that people of Jammu have seen enough of BJP-PDP rhetorics and it’s time for Jammuites to realise their mistake of supporting BJP and support Congress which is only hope to address their issues.
Speaking on the occasion, Bhalla said that the people of Jammu are feeling let down and betrayed, as their problems are accumulating with each passing day. He maintained that the Jammu youth had played a pivotal role in bringing BJP to power in the State but now with their hopes having been belied, they were only feeling cheated, humiliated and betrayed for no fault of theirs. He urged upon the people to unite so as to ensure that much needed healing touch was provided to Jammu region. He cautioned the State Government that eagerly waiting for the appropriate time to pull the curtains down on the sinister alliance.
While the youth of Jammu Pradesh had lost faith in the credibility and integrity of the system, the discriminatory selections had made a mockery of the police and nothing else “, Bhalla rued.
Bhalla said that PDP-BJP Government is forcing educated unemployed youth of Jammu region to come on streets against step motherly treatment being meted out to them by the PDP-BJP government.
“Instead of protecting interests of the deserving unemployed youth of Jammu region, BJP leaders are more worried about adjustment of their sons and other family members”, he pointed out and added that PSC members nominated by the BJP leaders from Jammu quota, are equally responsible for doing injustice to youth of Jammu region.
