JAMMU: Jammu Superstars defeated Jammu Warriors by 14 runs and entered into the semifinal of the ongoing J and K Peace T20 Championship, organised by Vishal Cricket Club Jammu and District Sports Council Jammu in collaboration with Sehwag Academy, here on Monday.
In Group-A match at Parade Ground, Jammu Superstars defeated Jammu Warriors by 14 runs.
Batting first, Jammu Superstars, scored 124 runs for loss of three wickets in 20 overs, with Swastik Sharma (38), Surinder (25 ) and Rohan Gill (21) were the main scorers. Dhruv and Areen shared one wicket each.
In reply, Jammu Warriors, could not chase the target and made 110 runs in 20 overs for the loss of six wickets. Akshit (26), Druv (23) and Harsh Gupta (24) were the main scorers. For Jammu Superstars, Smarpit, Nalin and Sachin shared two wickets while Gurdaat picked one. Swastik Sharma was declared as Man of the Match.
In Group-B match at Sehwag Academy, Jammu Sunrisers defeated Jammu Kings by eight wickets.
Batting first, Jammu Kings was bowled out for 98 runs in 18.3 overs.
Aparjit Raina (31), Sourav (12) and Kannav (10) were the top scorers. Kartik grabbed five wickets, while Vatsal, Karmanya and Yuvraj took one wicket each.
Jammu Sunrisers, in reply, easily achieve the target in the 13.2 overs for the loss of two wickets. Shehzad played a fine inning of 53 runs.
For Jammu Kings, Hanjala and Devvats shared one wicket wicket each. Kartik was adjudged Man of the Match.
