JAMMU: To make surroundings clean and green, Jammu Sanskriti School, Jammu on Friday carried out a plantation drive in school premises and the surrounding areas.
Students from of 6th to 10th and Pre-Primary Wing participated in the programme.
Primary Wing students planted medicinal plants in school compound. The school gardner offered friendly tips to ensure each sapling was carefully tendered. Saplings like Neem, Tulsa, Jamun, Aloe Vera etc were planted.
Students from 6th to 10th along with staff member planted 100 major plants like Mullbury, Sangwan, Teak, Jamun etc in the village Darp.
Principal-cum-Vice Chairperson of the School Rohini Aima sensitised the students on the value of tree plantation and to make environment clean and green for life to be healthy and happy. She also said that school has pledged to plant 100 saplings each month for the full session 2016-17.
