JAMMU: Jammu Rising Stars scripted their fifth win to emerge as undisputed winner of the title in the 7-match cricket series for Junior Cricketers, organised by Vishal Cricket Club, at Parade Ground, here on Saturday.
In today’s match, Jammu Rising Stars defeated Vishal Rising Stars by five wickets. Batting first, Vishal Rising Stars scored 95 runs for four wickets in 20 overs game with Akshit (39) and Praful Dhar (22) being main contributors. Jugjap took two wickets while Umar bagged one for Jammu Rising.
In reply, Jammu Rising Stars attained the goal in 15.4 overs losing four wickets. Sachin (49) and Rohan Gill (21) were the main scorers.
Aditpal Singh claimed three wickets while Adhishwer secured one. Sachin was adjudged Man of the Match. Sandeep, Sanjay and Vinod officiated the match. Now, the sixth match of the league shall be played tomorrow at 12:30 PM.
Member J and K State Sports Council, Ranjeet Kalra was Special Guest in today’s match. He was introduced with the budding cricketers taking part in the competition. He appreciated both organisers and participants for showing skills and talent.
