Jammu Pradesh United Front pledges to fight for cause of Jammu region

JAMMU: Jammu Pradesh United Front (JPUF) having more than 15 organisations was formed, here on Friday to act as observers and keep a strict vigil on the political situation of Jammu and Kashmir.
Jammu and Kashmir National Panthers Party president and former MLA, Balwant Singh Mankotia was elected as its Convenor while Uday Chand, Sunil Dimple, Anan Sharma and Krishan Manhas shall comprise the team of Spokesmen of the Front and Gagan Pratap Singh as Press Secretary.
Talking to reporters, Mankotia said that front was formed to fight for the rights of Jammu Pradesh.
“The people of Jammu are not betrayed again by any political party,” he assured.
Supporting the public demand of Chief Minister from Jammu region, Mankotia asserted, “It is a life time chance for the BJP to form the government headed by the chief minister from Jammu region and if it could not happen then the people of Jammu would feel cheated and humiliated.”
Mankotia said that if Kashmir-centric parties disrespect the mandate of Jammu Pradesh, people are left with no alternative but to seek a separate Jammu State.
“Rehabilitation and one time settlement of West Pak refugees, PoJK refugees of 1947, 1965, 1971, Jammu migrants and the border residents would remain priority of the Front,” he said.
Inviting other likeminded political parties, social organisations and intellectuals forums to join the front for the cause of the people of Jammu Pradesh, Mankotia vowed to launch a strong movement against the socio-political discrimination meted out to the people of Jammu Pradesh and assured that justice is delivered to them.
JPUF formed an ad hoc core committee comprising of 15 members with its unanimously elected Convener Balwant Singh Mankotia.
The members of the core committee include former MLA Yash Paul Kundal (JKNPP), Uday Chand (Duggar Pradesh Party), Krishan Singh Manhas (Hindu Shiv Sena), Sunil Dimple (Jammu West Assembly Movement), Pritam Sharma (Kranti Dal), Pandit Rajesh Kesari (Shiv Sena Hindustan), Rajiv Mahajan (Shri Ram Sena), G.I Singh (Hindustan Shiv Sena), Kailash Mohan Bhanotra (Dogra Kranti Dal), Ritu Raj Sharma (DRF), Mahesh Chander Padha (JKTTPF), Praduman Singh (SSF), Sanjeev Gupta (Jammu People Peace Forum), Sameer Gupta (Team Jammu) and Robin Sharma (Sarv Dharm Seva Samiti).
