Jammu Police Sports Festival concludes: SRML School clinches kabaddi trophy

JAMMU: SRML School Jammu lifted under-19 Kabaddi title defeating Jammu Club Team by 32 points in the Jammu Police Sports Festival, which concluded at MA Stadium, here on Saturday.
The sports festival was declared open by S.D Singh Jamwal, IGP Jammu on November 16, 2017.
About 750 players (boys/girls) of under-19 years of different schools of District Jammu participated in various sports events, including cricket, football, volleyball, tug-of-war, karate, race 200 mtrs, javelin throw, discuss throw, shot put, wushu, kho-kho and race 100 mtrs, etc.
The Sports Festival was organised by District Police Jammu under the supervision of SSP Jammu, Vivek Gupta with slogan ‘Khello Khell-Bhullo Nasha’.
In the Kabaddi final, DIG JKS Range, Jammu Rafiq-Ul-Hassan was Chief Guest and SP APCR Mohan Lal Kaith was Guest of Honour, who distributed trophies to the winner and runner-up teams.
Others present were SP Hqrs. Jammu R.C Kotwal, SP Ops. Jammu, Vinay Kumar, Dy SP Hqrs. Jammu, Rajpaul Singh, Surinder Mohan, General Secretary of J and K Kabaddi Association and Rajesh Gill, CPO NHRC Jammu (Nodal Officer of Sports Festival).
Ritu Paul Singh was the special commentator on the occasion of concluding function.
The Chief Guest applauded the role of District Police Jammu especially SSP Jammu Vivek Gupta for conducting the sports festival in a professional manner for the youth.
He advised District Police to organise more sports activities for the youth in near future, so that they may get platform to hone their skill and to exhibit their sports talent. Rajesh Gill presented vote of thanks.
