Jammu,the only link between India and nationalist forces has been always made to suffer on all fronts because they are taken for granted by Central Governments for whom Kashmiri people remained main focus of attention, despite their major sections being anti-India.Consequent upon Delhi appeasement policies towards Kashmiris and denial of even constitutional Rights to Jammu caused frustration among the Jammu masses, who for petty things have to fight and launch popular movement against the ruling dispensions dominated by Kashmiri.
While talking about basic civic aminities,even Jammu religious festivals and schedules are sabotaged by Kashmiri leadership.This was past history as during Assembly elections Jammu people were promised by PM Modi to vote for BJP who will not only transform the entire political dimensions to ensure Jammu their denied place but Abrogate Art 370, ensure Hindu CM from Jammu, follow up on Delimitation Commission recommendations to enhance more Assembly seats etc;etc;However, Jammu people trusted Modi and elected 25 MLAs of BJP creating political history,given them an political edge that made impossible for any Kashmir centric party to form government in State, unfortunately, the edge has been lost on table by BJP who for the sake of power surrendered before PDP.BJP may defend her new political love with hundreds of logics but the truth is, they get stamp on Jammu’s political status as second fiddle to Kashmiri leadership,which prior to be in power they used to cry and were found beating their chests during last 66 yrs from Praja Parishd to Jan Sangh and now BJP.Such is pitty position of BJP that their ministers and legislators led by Dy CM behave like obedient subordinates than representatives of Jammu Duggars,on each government decision of PDP leadership.
Jammu has volumes of multiplying problems and agonies due to their leaderships of past and present. But of late, shifting of AIIMS to Kashmir which was announced by FM Arun Jaitley in his budgetary speech became the main bone of contention between BJP and people of Jammu. Since, BJP on all their electoral promises has taken U-turns on AIIMS too surrendered before PDP leadership who shifted it to Kashmir. Sordidly, what forced Dy CM to toe the lines of his government is hot topic of any hair saloon or sweet shop. BJP indeed, has lost political credibility in Jammu after one bluff and U-turn by them, on issues related to welfare and development of Jammu region.What a funny situation that while Jammu people were struggling for their rightful dues, including, AIIMS, PDP leadership issued another Farman that Artificial Tawi Lake under construction to be shelved because of its unviability.
