POONCH : JK Medicity Super Specialty Hospital Pvt Ltd, Jammu organised a free medical camp for the border people of district Poonch on Sunday. The one day camp was inaugurated by Dr Mohan Lal DM Cardiologist in Tourist Reception Centre Poonch under the guidance of Dr Gaganpreet Singh.
The aim of holding this medical camp was to provide free medical checkup with free medicines for various ailments including cardiac problems in particular to the border people at their door-step.
Dr Mohan Lal DM Cardiologist, Dr Gurjit Singh General Surgeon and CTVS, Dr Vivek K Reshmi DM (Neurology Chandigarh) – son of soil and Dr Suresh Saraf MCH Urology checked up over 500 patients who reached from the extreme border including Mendhar, Jhallas, Gulpur, Deghwar and Mandi besides those from proper Poonch and provided free medicines. The doctors besides giving treatment imparted health awareness to the border people.
People of this area requested the hospital administration to make it a regular phenomena to visit Poonch once a month or at least in a quarter with such services. They also suggested that the hospital should open its branch in Poonch because the cardiac patients in emergency cannot reach Jammu.
Prominent among those present on the occasion included President Sanatan Dharam Sabha Satish Sassan, President District Congress Committee Adv Rajinder Singh, President District Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee Poonch and Retired Assistant Director CAPD Rajinder Singh.
