JAMMU: Jammu Hills Sports Club organised The Man Industries Herath Half Marathon in Jammu which was participated by more than 200 runners from different parts of India.
Marathon started from Gulshan Ground Gandhi Nagar.
In order to promote organ donation, the organizers in collaboration with J&K State Organ & Tissue Transplant Organization presented SOTTO 3KM Run for Organ Donation 2024. This run was flagged off by Dr Sanjeev Puri , Joint Director, Anshu Sharma, Consultant (IEC/ Media) and Irfan Ahmad Lone, Transplant Coordinator SOTTO J&K. In the girls category Myra Duggal, Manha and Samrin secured Ist, second and third position respectively whereas Arihant Verma, Manmeet Singh and Kayat Puri secured Ist, second and third position respectively in the boy’s category.
The participants showcased the vibrant spirit of Jammu’s running community as the runners from diverse backgrounds, abilities and age groups including children and senior citizens from different parts of the country came together to participate in the marathon. From seasoned athletes to first-time runners, individuals from all walks of life joined hands to promote the message of organ donation to save precious lives in the society.
In 3 KM girls category Myra Duggal, Manha and Samrin and in the boys category Arihant Verma, Manmeet Singh and Kayat Puri were declared winners.
In 5km under 35 female category Anjali Rajput, Pradeep Kaur and Meera whereas in male category Ajay Kumar, Aryan Sharma and Eklove Sharma were the winners.In 35 & above female category Anshu Charak , Aarohi Sharma and Anju Wangoo whereas in the male category Mohit Raina Vijay Raina and Vivek Sharma were the winners.
In 10 km, 18 to under 35 female category Sheerja, Palak Malhi and Balvinder Kaur whereas in the male category Krishna Raj Rokaya, Aditya Singh and Sunil Singh were the winners. In 35 to under 45 female category Shweta Mittal Kuljeet Kaur and Prerna Sharma whereas in the male category Ramanand Yadav Abhishek Sharma and Praveen Manhas were the winners.In 45 to under 55 female category Manvinder Kaur, Shipra Aggarwal and Dr Ritu Ahal whereas in the male category Shafat ul Bashir Shamsher Manhas and Rohit were the winners.
In 55 and above female category Anita Verma, Rajni Gupta and Anu Talwar whereas in the male category Rishi Kumar, Amarjeet Singh and Anil Katoch were the winners.
In 21.1 km, 18 to under 35 female category Dhyuti Gupta, Pooja Yadav and Rimpy Devi and in the male category Hrithik Sharma, Sukaran Raj Sharma and Irfan Hafiz were the winners. In 35 to under 45 female category Raina Gupta , Manmeet Atal and Ruchi Singh whereas in the male category Vijay Sharma Samvit Sharma and Sindhu Sharma were the winners. In 45 to under 55 female category Sonia Sawhney and Bhavna Salathia whereas in the male category
Sudhir Anand, Dinesh Gupta and Bhushan were the winners. In 55 and above female category Saloni Khajuria secured Ist position whereas in the male category Ajay Gandotra, Surinder Chaudhary and Om Prakash Sharma were the winners. Parveen Raina organised the whole event.
