JAMMU: Jammu District Karate Association, Member of Amateur karate Do association of Jammu & Kashmir (AKAJK), recognised by J and K State Sports Council, unanimously elected new team of office bearers on Sunday.
The new team was elected in the meeting held under the chairmanship of Ambedkar Gupta, President AKAJK.
Vishal Sharma was elected as President, Sanjay Kumar and Umesh Rekhi Vice Presidents, Manoj Mehra General Secretary, Amandeep Singh and Ganesh Gupta Joint Secretaries and Shaveta Gupta as Treasurer.
The others who attended the meeting were Brijesh Bhau, Vice-President AKAJK and Naresh Chander, Joint Secretary AKAJK besides Farhat Zari, Balbir Singh, Rohit Thakyal and Rajesh Kumar.
After the elections, the elected team presented the vote of thanks and decided to hold the District Karate Championship at MA Stadium Jammu in the last week of January 2015.
