Jammu Bar term reduced to 1 year; polls likely on April 8

JAMMU: The General House Meeting held on Thursday at Subordinate Court Complex has decided to reduce the term of J&K High Court Bar Association Jammu to one year from earlier two years’ tenure.
Moreover the voting rights have been reserved for the Bar members enrolled up to 1st January, 2016. The third point of the agenda regarding reduction in monthly membership fee, presented by the outgoing President Advocate Abhinav Sharma, has also been accepted. All the three agenda points were discussed in jam-packed meeting, said Advocate Abhinav Sharma.
Sources informed that the notification for the Jammu Bar Association elections is likely to be issued next week while election date is being finalised for 8th April.
