Jammu Bar celebrates 128th Birth Anniversary of Maharaja Hari Singh

JAMMU: The J&K High Court Bar Association, Jammu, organized a grand function to celebrate the Birth Anniversary of Maharaja Hari Singh at the Court Complex in Jammu on Friday .
This event was attended by a large number of lawyers who came together to pay their tributes to Maharaja Hari Singh Ji.
During the celebration, Vikram Sharma, Senior Advocate and President of the J&K High Court Bar Association, Jammu, spoke about the life and works of Maharaja Hari Singh.
He commended the government’s decision to declare September 23rd, the birth anniversary of Maharaja Hari Singh, as a holiday. This recognition is a tribute to the contributions of Maharaja Hari Singh Ji, who played a vital role in integrating Jammu and Kashmir with the Dominion of India by signing the Instrument of Accession.
He emphasized that Maharaja Hari Singh was a progressive and secular ruler and that the J&K High Court of Judicature was established during his rule in 1928.
Sharma also highlighted the justice-oriented approach of Maharaja Hari Singh during his rule.
He urged the intelligentsia to conduct more research on Maharaja’s life and contributions and make this information available to the public.
Sharma encouraged the people of J&K to celebrate Maharaja Hari Singh’s birthday as ‘Diwali’ and pay their deepest respects to him.
All the lawyers present at the gathering paid floral tributes to Maharaja Hari Singh as a mark of respect and appreciation for his contributions.
The event was attended by various office bearers of the J&K High Court Bar Association, Jammu, including Amit Gupta (Vice-President), Parvesh Singh Salaria (General Secretary), Chetan Misri (Joint Secretary), Utkarsh Pathania (Treasurer), and Rohit Sharma (President, YLA), Gagandeep Singh Lucky (Vice President YLA), Yaseer Farooq Khan (General Secretary YLA), Karanjeet Singh Johal (Joint Secretary YLA), Naresh Kumar (Treasurer) and many senior and young lawyers participated in the celebration namely Deepika Mahajan, Anil Bagotra, M.P Singh Palli, Rameshwar Singh Jamwal, Anil Khajuria, Gourav Jamwal, M.S Qureshi, Zamir Muslim Qureshi, Prem Sadotra, Bindusar Abrol, Divyaishan, Amit Manhas, Surjeet Singh Andotra, Atul Raina, Sachin Dev Singh, Manjit Singh Sarkaria and Daksheesh Maharaj.
The lawyers concluded the celebration by enjoying Halwa.
Parvesh Singh Salaria, General Secretary of the J&K High Court Bar Association, Jammu, concluded the function.
