JAMMU: District Administration Jammu, under the guidance of District Development Commissioner, Avny Lavasa, on Wednesday established a C-DYTE Centre in far flung Sub Division Chowki Choura.
In view of hilly terrain and unfavorable geographic conditions of the area, the Centre would cover all the Panchayats of the Sub-Division on a rotational basis. The C-DYTE is a skill development initiative of the District Administration, Jammu. It is functioning in 13 Blocks of Jammu District to equip the youth with necessary physical and mental skills and facilitate their recruitment in Defence Forces and other Competitive Exams. The local people, PRI Members, especially the youth hailed the Deputy Commissioner and District Administration Jammu for providing them an open platform to prepare for competitions. The Centre will not only enrich the physical and academic skills of the youth but also develop a sense of patriotism and self confidence among them to stay away from social evils and unscrupulous elements and face different challenges of life.
BDC Chairman, Rahul Dev Sharma; Sub-Divisional Magistrate Varinder Gupta; Tehsildar Dr. Raman Jandyal; BDO Rashu Sharma; Incharge C-DYTE Dr. Surinder and all Sarpanches/PRI Members of the Chowki Choura Sub Division were present on the occasion.
