Jammu Admin continues drive against land grabbers, drug peddlers

JAMMU: In continuation to the ongoing drive and action against land grabbers, drug peddlers, the District Administration Jammu on Saturday carried out an anti-encroachment operation at village Harsa Dabbar, Tehsil Bishnah.

The operation was conducted on the directions of District Magistrate Jammu Dr. Rakesh Minhas in coordination with SSP Jammu Joginder Singh.
The retrieved land will be proposed for establishment of Niabat, Police Chowki and Patwar Halqa. The District Administration has once again cautioned that no illegal conversion or encroachment on State land, Agricultural land or custodian property will be tolerated.
“The drive led to the retrieval of 14 kanals (1.75 acres) of encroached land, which will be proposed for the establishment of office buildings and a police post,” the official said.
“Strict legal action will be initiated against violators, including those involved in NDPS related offences,” it said.
The anti-encroachment drive was carried out under the overall supervision of SDM Jammu South, Manu Hansa and Superintendent of Police (HQ) Jammu, Irshad Rather. Tehsildar Bishnah, Ankush Tripathi, SDPO R.S. Pura, Gurmeet Singh, SHO Bishnah, Rakesh Jamwal and teams from the Revenue and Police departments carried out the drive.
