Jagmeet of Punjab scores hat-trick in Police Hockey;Punjab, J&K win one-sided contests

JAMMU: Hosts Jammu and Kashmir and Punjab on Sunday made it huge wins against their opponents to consolidate their positions in the ongoing league round of the 65th All India Police Hockey Championship at KK Hakku Stadium and University of Jammu (JU) grounds, here.
J and K Police team made it a big 20-0 win against Puducherry Police. Sikinder Paul Singh (3rd, 15th, 25th, 28th, 40th, 65th, 66th) was main contributor to the scorecard with seven goals while Jaspreet Singh (7th, 24th, 42nd, 58th, 69th) added five.
Surinder Singh (11th, 21st), Sumit Paul Singh (13th, 63rd), Manjeet Singh (10th, 54th), Ali Mohd (56th), Suhail Azim (61st) were other scorers from J and K. In the Group-B match, Punjab inflicted a humiliating 22-1 win against Rajasthan Police, courtesy six goals from Jagmeet Singh, including hat-trick. Sarabjit Singh (4th, 9th, 15th, 69th), Jagmeet Singh (11th, 16th, 49th, 53rd, 56th, 58th), Ajay Kumar (20th, 30th), Jaspreet Singh (24th), Simranjeet Singh (25th), Amit Sandhu (29th), Gurbaj Singh (35th, 47th), Rupinder Singh (38th), Jaskaran Sing (40th), Sativinder Singh (50th) and Prabhjit Singh (51st).
