IYDCC to celebrate International Yog Day on June 21: Chander Mohan

JAMMU: International Yog Divas Celebration Committee (IYDCC) to celebrate International Yoga Day all over the State including in Ladakh and Kashmir.
Talking to reporters here on Friday, IYDCC State Convenor Adv. Chander Mohan Sharma said that Union MoS, Krishan Lal Gujjar will be the Chief Guest in the main function will be held at Raj Bagh near Zero Bridge Park, Kashmir.
“The function which would be held at Udhampur, Dr. Jitendra Singh MoS PMO will be the Chief Guest,” he said adding that the main function in Jammu will be held at Mini Stadium Parade. He also said that in Jammu Province more programmes for the celebration of Yoga Day would be held at block level.
“As per internationally accepted protocol the programme will start at 6:00 AM and the practice of Yoga postures as accepted by all the 177 countries will be the same,” he said.
MP Jugal Kishore Sharma will be the Chief Guest main programme in Jammu while Dr. T.R Raina, former HoD Medical College Jammu and senior fellow in Advance Yoga Study in Morarji Desia Institute of Yoga will be the main speaker. Bansi Lal State Incharge of the Patanjali Yog Peeth will guide the Yoga practice.
Sharma further said that more than 20 small and big Yog organizations are involved in the celebration of International Yog Day.
Prominent among them includes Patanjali Yog Peeth, Bharat Yog Sansthan and Vichar Kranti Manch.
Sharma called upon all the residents of the State to join the Yog Day programmes on 21st of June in any of these programmes and convert make their lives as par Yog philosophy to achieve, health, mental and social peace, unity and harmony in their personal interest as well as larger interest of the society.
Sanjay Baru, Surinder Sharma and Subash Gupta were also present in the press conference.
