SRINAGAR: A delegation of J and K ITI Employees United Front headed by State President Nazir Ahmed Molvi called on Commissioner / Secretary Hirdesh Kumar and Director Technical Education Showkat Ahmad Zargar here on Wednesday to discuss the problems being faced by them.
The delegation demanded procurement of machinery and equipment, Institutional Development Fund (IDF) should be utilised only on development of the institutes and not on salary heads, placement cell to be made functional, re-affiliation of NCVT trades, holding of DPC meetings, CTI/refresher courses, in-situ promotion, retrospective promotion to ministerial / technical staff, regularisation of Ad hoc/contractual/academic arrangements, enhancement of wages, updating and finalisation of recruitment rules etc.
The Commissioner / Secretary and Director, both assured the visiting delegation that the appropriate action will be taken shortly.
The delegation comprised of Din Mohammad Dar, Karan Singh, Rajinder Singh, Yashpal, Sham Lal, Reyaz Ahmad, Manzoor Ahmad and Haji Parvaiz Iqbal.
