Selected IPL players being honoured by ACA representatives.

AMRITSAR: Young cricketers of Amritsar, Sharad Rajinder Loomba and Abhishek Sharma, who were selected for Indian Premier League (IPL) 2018, on Wednesday visited Amandeep Cricket Academy, Amritsar. They were welcomed and honoured by Dr. Shahbaz Singh, Director, Amandeep Cricket Academy.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Shahbaz said, “Although Amritsar lacks in terms of development and basic amenities but the hard working Punjabi youth of this area keep on working hard to being to fore the name of their beloved city at national and international levels.”
“Sports facilities in Amritsar are almost negligible but still the youth of the area are working hard to highlight the name of Amritsar world-wide,” he said adding that this has been proved by the selection of two young cricketers of Amritsar Sharad Rajinder Loomba and Abhishek Sharma for IPL.
Their selection, he said, has proved that there is lot of potential among youth which needs to sharpened by providing them suitable platform.
Sharad Loomba has been selected for Mumbai Indians while Abhishek Sharma has been selected for Delhi Dare-Devils.
Apart from others, ex-International Cricketer Harvinder Singh, Manish Sharma, Lovely Cricket Arora, Madhu Arora were also present on this occasion.
Amandeep Cricket Academy honoured both the IPL players and extended good wishes for IPL tournament.
