Jammu: The Investiture ceremony of Counsel 2015-16 of SOS Hermann Gmeiner School Jammu was held in school premises on Saturday.
Col. Rajesh Kumar, Commanding Officer NCC was the Chief Guest while Captain Geeta Srivastava Administrative Officer was Guest of Honour. Other guests Sanjila Tuttu, S.P Sood and Shesh Gupta were also present in the function. They were welcomed by Teacher I/C Geeta Bhan.
The programme began with the traditional lighting ceremony. The students presented colourful cultural events which included group Dances presented by students of classes VIII, IX and X and Gazal singing by Nikshap Pandita . On the occasion, the Head Boy Dhananjay Chopra, Head Girl Shaleen Sharma, Vice Head Boy Mohit Koul, Vice Head Girl Anushika Gupta all from class XII along with group captains, Vice group captains and prefects of four houses namely Jhelum House, Chenab House, Ravi House and Tawi House were presented badges by Chief Guest.
The newly appointed leaders pledged to uphold the dignity of the school through their entering service, hard work and cooperation.
Rajesh Kumar urged students to work hard and always strive hard to achieve their goals. He also laid stress on character building and developing leadership qualities. He advised them to work on SWOT analysis tests which help them to recognize themselves.
