Jammu: A youth was apprehended on Monday after he crossed over to the Indian side from across the border along the International Border in Jammu district while the army busted a hideout in Rajouri district.
The 22-year-old youth was arrested for inadvertently crossing in the belt, a BSF officer said.
This is the second such case in R S Pura Sector in past two days.
On Saturday, Sahanulla (38), a resident of Wajid Wali village in Chawinda in Sialkot district of Pakistan, was arrested by the Border Security Force (BSF) when he crossed into the Indian side in Pindi area of the sector.
Meanwhile, the Army has unearthed a militant hideout and recovered arms and ammunition in Rajouri district, a defence spokesman said here.
Acting on a specific information, Army launched a search operation and busted the hideout at Phulwari Gali yesterday, he said.
The recoveries yielded from the hideout included one Under Barrel Grenade Launcher (UBGL), two Chinese pistol magazines, one .22 pistol magazine, an electric detonator, one grenade delay fuse, 1751 rounds of AK-47 and 52 blank rounds of AK-47, the spokesman said.
