SAMBA: Police on Saturday busted an interstate gang of fraudsters by arresting six persons.
According to a report, Samba Police led by Inspector Sanjeev Chib, SHO Police Sttaion Samba under the supervision of Varinder Singh, Dy. SP HQ, Samba busted interstate gang of fraudsters by apprehending six accused persons namely Mohd Imran son of Aziz Ahmed resident of Lucknow, Jagdish Kataria son of Soberan Singh resident of Kullu Himachal Pradesh, Parshotam Goswami son of Hoshiyar Goswami resident of Merut UP, Rakesh Kumar son of Laxmi Narayan resident of UP, Kamal Kapoor son of Banwari Lal resident of Delhi and Munish Kumar son of Ramesh Chander resident of Delhi from Sharda Guest House Samba.
The said gang of fraudsters was operating in different states and cheating the innocent people on the pretext that they have the material called ‘Trattgola’ emerged during thunderous lightening from the sky which has value in crores of rupees in the international market.
Accordingly, they telephonically duped one Parshotam Lal son of Vikram Chand resident of Arazi Samba who on the directions of Mohd Imran, one of the accused, deposited Rs. 5,60,000 in his account. Thereafter, when the above mentioned gang reported in District Samba to handover the so called material “Trattgola” to Parshotam Lal of District Samba and demanded more amount, police team on a tip off raided the Guest House and nabbed them.
However, during their search, no such material has been recovered from their possession.
A case under FIR No. 107/2015 section 420 RPC was registered at Police Station Samba and investigation started. During thorough questioning, they disclosed that they have no such material and were taking money from the people by duping them on one pretext or the other.
District Police Samba has appealed to the general public not to fall prey before such elements and immediately report such matters to police for strict action against them.
